More Storm Watch

It’s 12:30 on Tuesday, and it is REALLY raining with very gusty wind. I was able to get Grant and Michelle into Avalon aboard Puttin’ Along (pictured here in the background) so they could get to the mainland for baby-having class. Re-mooring the boat was a bit of a problem, and I wasn’t able to get the stern line on by myself, so she’s just swinging on her bow out there. It might be better for the boat, but it may tangle the mooring before I’m able to get out there again to re-moor it.

There is water running everywhere on the property. It’s like new streams are forming where vehicle paths were before. As soon as the rain lets up a little, I’ll take another damage assessment walk.

Storm Watch

Nothing exciting to report. The wind seems to gust to 30-40 MPH once in a while beginning early this afternoon. We have had periods of moderate to heavy showers, and the boats and float are being tossed by 3′ wind waves out of the south. I imagine the contents of Jeremy’s Luhrs and my Californian trawler have been launched all over their respective cabins by now. The waves are hitting the boats,  anchored bow and stern, from their starboard sides.
